Resistance?  Get Curious.

I'm imagining that at some point along your life journey you've experienced some kind of internal resistance; resistance to taking care of yourself, resistance to starting a new habit, resistance to going for a dream.

I know I have.

If you have, how did you react?  Did you judge yourself for having resistance?  Did you interpret the resistance as a sign to stop doing what you were doing? Did you take a day or two off and wait for the resistance to go away? Did you feel the resistance and move forward anyway?

There's no right or wrong and certainly no judgement.  Our resistance may have a lot to tell us if we get curious enough and listen.

It may be a message for much needed rest.  Or, it may be part of a larger pattern that has stopped us in many areas of our lives.

Resistance can be a great teacher.  Next time you experience resistance, get curious.  And let us know what you learn!

There's a ton of info out there about the astrological and numerical significance of this day.

What feels right-on in me is that this is a day we can set the tone for 2015.

This is a day we can put our full attention and intention on our highest aspirations and fly.  How far and how high?  I don't know.  What I do know is that if all the energy of the Universe is supporting me, then I want to be as present as possible today and give it my All.

It's time to fly...what can you do today to energize or re-energize your dreams and ride the energy of 11/11?

Start Over

The great thing about starting a New Habit, like so many things in life, is that you can start over at any minute!  Or you can keep going. Or you can start over. Or you can keep going. Or you can start over. At any minute! Isn't that cool!

You can change your mind as many times as there are minutes! 
You are the experimenter.  The New Habit is the experiment.

As we learn to live without "shoulds"/"oughts"/musts", we find a new freedom with much more permission to experiment.

"This feeds my soul, I'll do it more."
"This drains me, I'll do it less."

Permission to start over from scratch.
Permission to change it up.
Permission to stop.
Permission to start again.

You are the experimenter.
And the experiment becomes the fun!

Today, start a New Habit and let it be a form of Self Care...a form of Prayer.

Do it with as much presence, attention and intention as you can.

Be patient.

Slow down.

And give yourself lots of permission.

Be kind to yourself.

Practice being your own best friend.

See how it feels.

And if you like it, do it again tomorrow.

Thank You Universe

Have you ever felt extremely grateful that someone or something showed up in your life at the right moment to help you out of (or prevent) a mess?

That's how I felt on Tuesday.

I was in a conference room in a hotel in the Boston area  packing up from a training gig.  I was just about to close all the boxes and say good-bye to the hotel staff that had been so helpful the last few days when...the head catering manager came over to me, showed me a plastic bag and said, "Does anything in here look familiar?"

Familiar?

O. M. G.

Does anything look familiar?

"Well YES!", I answered..."Those are my keys and my cards and my....STUFF!"

I left them in my hotel room in a drawer that I had sworn to myself that I would remember to pack.  I forget.

Thank You hotel housekeeping, hotel staff, catering manager and UNIVERSE for getting me my stuff before I left for the airport and arrived in Philadelphia with no keys to my car!

Slow. Everything. Down.

PictureExperiment with living in "slow motion".
Today experiment with living in "slow motion"...allowing time to feel Life and act and respond accordingly.

Rarely do we need to get done as much as we think we need to get done in one day.

We have our long list of "to-dos" and we get overwhelmed and over-stressed simply trying to get through the day.  As a result, days fly by and we may or may not even remember them.

My challenge to you is to experiment with getting less done and spending more time on each task.  Move slowly.  Pause. Stop. Breathe.

See how it feels and determine if you like it.

If you like it, do it more!
